Agreement
By creating an account or using Mapsdata, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and use Mapsdata only in compliance with applicable law.
The service
Mapsdata provides a web application for searching and enriching local business information. Mapsdata combines proprietary datasets and matching technology with Google Maps listings, business websites, data partners, directories, official records, and social profiles. Search results can include listing data, website content, contact details, and identifiable owners or other decision makers.
Features may change as we improve the service. Mapsdata offers customer API and MCP access subject to the account's plan, credits, rate limits, security controls, and documentation. These terms do not promise any unreleased feature.
Accounts
You sign in through Google and are responsible for activity performed through your account. Keep access to your Google account secure, provide accurate information, and notify us promptly if you believe your Mapsdata account has been compromised.
Lead credits
Search usage is measured in lead credits. The number of credits available depends on your plan, and the interface shows the cost or applicable limit before a search is submitted. We may apply reasonable per-search limits to protect service reliability.
Paid-plan credits reset each month, including when a yearly subscription is billed annually. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month, cannot be transferred between accounts, and have no cash value. Free credits are a one-time allowance rather than a recurring monthly allowance.
Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds
Paid plans are processed by Stripe and billed monthly or yearly according to the option selected at checkout. A yearly price is charged for the yearly billing period even though lead credits reset monthly.
You may schedule cancellation from Settings. Billing ends at the close of the current billing period, while Mapsdata may place remaining credits on hold when cancellation is scheduled. If you resume before the period ends, eligible held credits are restored. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time or credits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Mapsdata or its results for spam, harassment, discrimination, deception, or unlawful activity;
- violate privacy, marketing, communications, data-protection, or other laws that apply to your use of business information;
- circumvent credit limits, security measures, access controls, or service restrictions;
- scrape, probe, disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with Mapsdata;
- resell access to Mapsdata or redistribute raw results as a competing data product without our written permission; or
- use automated access methods other than the documented Mapsdata API, Mapsdata MCP server, or another method we have expressly authorized.
Data accuracy and responsible use
Business information changes frequently. Although we make reasonable efforts to return useful, current results, we do not guarantee that any result is complete, accurate, unique, or up to date. You are responsible for reviewing results and determining whether and how you may lawfully contact or use information about a business or decision maker.
Ownership
Mapsdata and its software, design, branding, and original content belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business purposes while your account remains in good standing. They do not transfer ownership of Mapsdata or third-party source data to you.
Availability and liability
Mapsdata is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every search will return a particular number or type of result.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mapsdata is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the service or your use of its results. Our total liability for claims connected with Mapsdata will not exceed the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Suspension and termination
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address non-payment, security risk, abuse, illegal activity, or a material breach of these terms. You may stop using Mapsdata at any time and may request account deletion by contacting us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after the revised terms take effect means you accept them.
